Pelargonium 'Winnifred' Pelargonium 'Winnifred' is a zonal. The original seed was collected in East Freemantle, Western Australia about 1935 by Winnifred Werner, who, as a school girl, saw it growing in a garden as she walked home. She grew it at the family home and collected seed from it on one of her trips back from the United States in the 1950's. It is one of the 'Painted Ladies' but its ancestor's name has been lost, if it was ever known. It is very floriferous and easy to grow. UNAVAILABLE UNTIL AUGUST, 2022. |
