This is a dwarf, stemless and tuberous rooted species from South West Africa. The tubers are small and rounded and connected by string-like threads. It grows in sand, quartz or clay and is winter growing and summer dormant. The leaves, although roundish are variable in size and shape. The flowers are white or cream. The upper petals have a large blotch that stretches across both petals and smaller blotches on each and the lower petals have small blotches on each as well.
